Doug bought Logan a cookie monster cake with tons of blue frosting. I think the rest of the family ate way more of it than Logan did. He mostly just wanted to stick his fingers in the frosting. We found out that blue dye does really interesting things from a digestive standpoint.

During Grandma Laurie's recent visit we decided to try kayaking/canoing on White Rock Lake. It was really a lot of fun and we will definitely go again. I was worried that Logan would freak out but he took to it like a pro. Instead Abigail was the one who freaked out but that mostly stemmed from her not wanting to come in second behind her speed racer Dad.

First day of school

Abigail was pretty stoked about starting kindergarten and wearing a uniform. Logan was a bit less excited to hear he was getting dropped off at preschool.

Cheerleading camp

Abigail's dance teacher did a week-long cheerleading camp this week and these are some pictures from the show they had at the end of it. They all did pretty well considering they had only met four times before this show.

Today Abigail had a more permanent cast put on her arm. The doctor let us take pictures of the x-rays. The top image was taken at the ER right after she broke it. The round thing off to the right is the condyle that should be attached to the humerus bone above it. The lower two images are the pins that are in her bone the shorter part of the "V" is outside the skin. She should be having those removed in two weeks.

The biggest get well basket ever!

The team at WestPark Dental got together and filled two boxes full of all kinds of toys and activities a five year-old girl loves. Abigail was beside herself and I'm worried she might start finding ways to break other bones after getting this kind of treatment.

Abigail had a good friend from school come over to cheer her up. They played dress-up and it was nice to see a smile on Abigail's face again. Thank you Julissa! Of course, Logan had to get in on the act.

This photo was taken right before Jeffrey and I headed back home after our very relaxing weekend in Potsdam. I think I gained about five pounds that weekend from all of Alice's wonderful meals.

Snow Day!

We actually got some real snow in Dallas. The kids got the day off from school, so Abigail and her buddy got busy with the snowman building. I'll get a picture of that when it's finished. At last check the mean boys had knocked the original snowman down :(

I just came across this picture of Logan (taken July 2008) eating corn at Cappy's house. He must have run it through his hair a few times before he started eating it.

Snow in Texas!

We actually got some snow on Christmas Eve which is almost unheard of. Some of it even stuck so the kids got to play in the snow on Christmas Day.
