We went to the Arboretum on Sunday to check out all of the pumpkins. They had all of the pumpkins beautifully arranged and Abigail wa excited because there were several girls dressed up for their Quincenera (sp?) portrait in brighly colored formal ball gowns. She thought they were pricesses.

hanging out with cousin Carter in Glenwood, AR

Doug's cousin Jud, his wife Alexandra and son Carter drove in from Atlanta so we met them in Glenwood.

Today was the first day of Preschool for the new school year. Both Abby and Logan have new teachers and are in new classrooms. Right after I shot this picture Logan stole the camera and the batteries died so I didn't get another chance to get a better quality photo. Sorry!

'50's Day

Abigail's teacher helped them make their own poodle skirts and put the scarves around their necks and in their hair. They turned out pretty cute. I'm sure none of the kids have a clue what "fifties" means.

Splashing at the zoo

Logan was actually saying cheese for this picture which is why he has the weird smile.

Here Logan is drinking the yucky water that everyone is playing in. Yuck!
I had to throw Logan in the bath tub when we got home to rinse all of the popsicle off of him. He is sporting his sister's swimming goggles.

Dinner at Rainforest Cafe

We took the kids to the Rainforest Cafe since we had never been. Abigail liked it so much she said "I want to live here forever!". Maybe we can get them to hire her to wash dishes. The dessert came with a sparkler sticking in the top but it burned out by the time I wrestled the camera away from Logan and got him in the chair (story of my life-always 2 seconds late for a perfect shot).

Doug's cousin, Brian, was in town visiting for a week. Abigail and Logan tried their best to wear him out. On Friday I let Abigail stay home from preschool and we went swimming at a very cushy rec center in Plano.
The picture of Debbie and Brian was taken by Abigail and I think she did a pretty good job.
I was determined to get a group picture before Brian returned to Atlanta but Logan wanted nothing to do with that. Is it wrong to photograph a minor against their will?

We had a very brief rainstorm last night so naturally we grabbed our swimsuits and a popsicle and ran outside.

Abigail did a cheerleading camp at preschool this week. She was so excited about getting to be a "real " cheerleader .

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

I needed a "family" picture for our dental practice newsletter so Doug snapped a few of me and Abigail. She already had her jammies on but hopefully no one will know that. It's always a challenge to get her to not make goofy faces in pictures but somehow we got cooperation this time.

Sunday morning at the zoo

That is Abigail gettting up close and personal with the gorilla. We went to the zoo just for a couple of hours on Sunday morning. Logan got completely soaked splashing around in the water. Luckily we had an extra outfit in the diaper bag. His shirt says "Crazy!" How appropriate.

Doug got some tickets to a Frisco Roughriders baseball game so we took Abigail on Sunday and had a great time.

Monday (Memorial Day), Abigail and Kayleigh cooled off in the sprinkler.

Abigail and our neighbor Kayleigh earned a couple of bucks taking another neighbor's Chihuahua (Lexie) for a walk. I don't think the dog got much exercise but Abigail is two dollars richer.

This was our second birthday party on Saturday. It was for Marshall (5) and Macie(2). Abigail had a great time playing with her good friend Ainsley and Logan had a great time with her twin brothers, Brody and Finley. That is two-year old Macie with her Mom. Marshall was running around with the bigger boys saw we barely saw him the whole time.

On Saturday we went to a "pony party" to help Macey and Kelly celebrate their birthdays. It was a little too wet to take more than one quick pony ride but the kids still had a great time playing in the rain.
